The Dublin business I work in is in the process of restructuring and 1 to 1’s are being conducted. What appears to be happening so far to is that we are being told that our current role is ‘at risk’ and that we can apply for new roles. There are isn’t an offer of redundancy but that’s next if unsuccessful in getting a new role. So far the new structure doesn’t seem to be very different. Problem is the company was on a big expansion only last year and some of us only have a years service so will get next to nothing. HR are attending the 1 to 1’s but saying nothing. Any advice please on what legally can or can’t be done? If I secure one of the new roles which is basically what my job currently is can they make me take a pay cut. If I don’t and they give someone the new role, basically my job; what can I do? Thanks
