Too late to sow grass seed?

Have dug up a large area of the garden. Have been trying to improve the soil with compost and manure.

Would be ready to sow seed this week but wondering if it's too late?

Alternatively, could order mypex weed sheets, throw on some more compost, cover until spring and let the worms do their stuff.

No, it'll be slower to grow, not an ideal time but it will still grow. I've planted seed in last fortnight. Starting to grow but slowly. Not many birds around to eat it either which is always good

Thanks. We discussed buying roll out lawn, but we'll just take our chances with the seed this evening. It's cheap enough that we can just do it again in the spring if it's a mess.

Fields next to me have been rotated for planting tomorrow.

    Gardens will take fine.

It will take time but if you don't mind the seed will not.
