Has anyone got a Samsung nu7120 model of tv.
    Does it have Freesat ?
    I'm getting conflicting results online.

I presume it'll have to have UK selected on install, otherwise it'll be a fta system .. I think.

Also, if set to UK, will the rte' s be on the 800's, and if so is it possible to reorder them to 1, 2 ,3 etc

    And according to

    https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/televisions/televisions/samsung-ue43nu7120-43-smart-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-led-tv-10178406-pdt.html

    And

    https://www.littlewoods.com/samsung-ue40nu7120-40-inch-ultra-hd-certified-4k-hdr-smart-tv/1600264026.prd

And the Freesat website states that the 40" version has freesat

and many other retailers.. but then, some sites contradict this.

    Anyone with personal experience ?

Edit.. oh, and having looked at the 43nu7120 in pc world it has both a bell and f connector.

However, it's not possible to see in the menu system, as it's not connected to either in the shop., and ireland may have been selected during initial setup.

The 43" version isn't on the Freesat site, so it won't have Freesat, even though it has a satellite tuner. It will just be plain old FTA with now/next guide.

I wouldn't worry about being able to re-order channels: this used to be possible on Samsung TVs but I think it messes up the EPG 'housekeeping'. They can be put in a favourites selection & the guide can be set to default to this.

The Samsung NU7120 does not have Freesat as it only has a Terrestrial and Cable tuner (DVB-T2C) as stated in the Specs https://www.samsung.com/uk/tvs/ue40nu7120kxxu-uhd-4k-smart-tv-nu7100-series-7-ukfrdeites/UE43NU7120KXXU/

Samsung TVs with a S2 tuner will have Freesat

I bought the Samsung ue43nu7470 yesterday in Curry’s. It has freesat and works a treat. Nice interface etc.

Seems to be fine. Have not yet connected a hdd for recording.

    Thanks

That's cleared it up a bit.

Just a shame that currys/pc world state incorrectly that models have Freesat HD, when they don't.

€700 is a bit much, as it's not for me.
I would have been happy paying 550 for the 43nu7120,

Can you combine the Freesat stations with Saorview in one guide, perhaps favourites or something like that?

The Samsung series is a bit odd,

ie. The 40nu7120 has Freesat, but the 43nu7120 doesn't. You'd imagine that the entire nu7120 series would be Freesat capable.

Likewise 43nu7470 has Freesat, but the 40nu7430 does not.

A list of samsung freesat tv's would be super handy.
(I'm not a fan of LG)

I've seen that, but out of date (last yrs models) models might not be listed.

    Edit.. excellent link :)

Both don't have Freesat. Check the Samsung website for the correct specs. Size doesn't matter, it's the model number that's differs in the specs

As I mentioned previously if the TV has a S2 tuner listed in the Specs on Samsung's UK website (usually more to to date than the .ie version) and is less than 5 years old roughly, Freesat will be built in

Worth popping into a shop to see for yourself if there's a satellite input before buying it
