Recommendation - Android Tablet - €250ish

Hi ,

What are people recommending these days ?

I am looking to replace my Nexus 7 and am willing to spend around the €250 ish mark , would also like to buy locally or from Amazon and preferably 8" as that size suits my purpose ( tried the Fire 8 HD but find that a bit slow too ) . I haven't really kept up with whats happening in the tablet world so I am unsure of what I should be looking at .

Any recommendations ?

I like the huawei mediapad m5 8.4, or there is the m3 which might be more in your price range but the older model

The high horse brigade

I have the MediaPad M3, grand little device. Not the fastest but works amazingly well for a budget tab. It has a speaker at each end which gives it really good stereo sound.
The only drawback I've come across is that Huawei have removed the option of user profiles, I lent it to my son for a visit to hospital and he had to factory reset it to sign into his stuff, I reset it again after he returned it.

I'd go for the mi pad 4.

pretty recognised as the best 8 inch tablet at the moment from a price / value standpoint.

3gb/32gb or 4gb/64gb with powerful enough snapdragon 660 which is about 140,000 on the antutu benchmark (fire hd 8 34,000 as a comparison) so powerful enough for most things including even higher end games. also good to have a powerful processor or else you risk the tablet being unusable after a few years due software requirements being too great for the hardware

about 220/230 or so for the bigger ram model or mabye less if you search enough online, the 3gb model for cheaper. obviously has sd card support also.

best 8 inch option imo. considering one myself.

doesn't seem to be on amazon (but you can get cases there)

honorbuy probably have better returns service if you're worried about that.

No updates, and possible trouble with unlocking the bootloader if they've unlocked and relocked it to install the rom

1.The phone have Playstore and Multi-language?
Custom Rom,have Google Store, Support Multi Language, Not Support OTA update.

go for honorbuy then. not much difference in price

the chinese version supports english and chinese.

there is no global rom. you install google services in a few minutes using a miui installer from Xiaomi themselves - see video. so then you have rom still with Over-the-air updates
