For starters I can recommend a dealer.
    Richer Sounds.
They are on boards so talk to them here, they will advise you and they will do their best for you.
They give a 5 year warranty with their TVs as well.

Depends on your needs and budget

I've been looking into a new TV and can share where I've landed based on reviews etc. These are all richersounds links, I'm not affiliated, feel free to shop around but they do price match and offer a 6 year warranty.

    43 inch, 4K, low budget £349

49" Best bang for buck for picture quality and features £699

Above that there are decent deals on Sony TVs including free soundbars

Thanks for that. So its 350 vs 699, for a newbie bar the size what would I actually notice in the difference.

The picture quality on the LG for £699 was much more impressive, particularly at wide viewing angles which is important for me. Some TVs lose colour and appear faded at wider angles. The relatively small difference in size also makes a big difference.

I looked at the same TVs in another shop https://www.expert.ie . They guy in there was really helpful and pretty much told me that 4K was a waste of time on a 43" TV, you don't see the benefits. He recommended an LG TV for €399 without 4K. But at £350 for the one I mentioned it's no more expensive than a TV without it.

If I had the budget and the space I'd go for the 49" at £699

Also LG have supposedly the best smart TV functionality and its the same on the cheaper TVs as the more expensive ones. So if you're on a budget it's another good reason to choose it.
