Have always used a Shear grab on a mast on back of tractor. This year changed tractor and now have a loader.
Do I Stick with the mast or stick it on the loader?
    Not a self levelling loader.
I am worried it's sore on the front of the tractor.
What's the norm now a days

You could cut off the mast and fix brackets to the grab to suit the loader that would be the cheapest, when I changed tractor ten years ago , I bought a grab for the loader and sold my back grab , easier to use a front loader grab less turning back and faster to put in the silage

What tractor do you have? 2 or 4 wd? What loader type do you have? What size shear grab is going on the front?

I have changed from a shear grab to a time grab. I find it easier on the tractor and loader.

I even have a spare set of brackets here and could do it myself. But just worried 1 that it's sore on pins a and axle and 2 that I will run toes on floor of pic as it's a bugger to see pallet toes and bale spike. Is the grab easier to see?

    It's a mf4370 4wd with a loader 4'6" conor grab

If the grab is wider than the loader it’s easy to see , hav a 4 foot 4 grab but that is my personal experience, I find it easier because I was getting pains in my neck from the back mounted grab

Neighbour here has offered me to try his grab which will fit.
He said once I try it I'll never go back to the mast mounted

That is what I did. Grab is further away so cant see what is happening as easy. Need to put a weight on back of tractor. Biggest advantage is height and being able to put on bucket or bale handler. Very limited with height with rear mast, you wouldnt believe the extra things you can do with height of a front loader. Mind you , if just want to put out silage and have a 2 wd tractor, rear mast is super efficient.

Thats a 6 cylinder 110hp tractor so will handle that grab no bother. I wouldnt be overly worried about wear on the axle either as long as you keep it well greased - 4wd well fit for a loader.

I'd go front loader every time over a rear grab, much easier on the back and neck. Shear grab blades need to be kept sharp and worn tines replaced to keep it cutting well, but if you already have a shear grab you already know that........
