    My car was written off after getting back ended so I'm in the market for a new one.

    I have been driving a 06 Avensis 1.6l and need something of similar size for transporting the wife and child and suitcases when we go on regular weekends away to places in Ireland, large boot.

    I live in Dublin and rather buy from a dealer for piece of mind. I've about 11k to spend, so hopefully can get something decent that won't cost an arm and a leg in tax and petrol. I commute the length of the M50 almost daily, there and back in decent traffic (7am & 4pm journey times, about an hour without accidents) so I don't think I need a diesel.

    I don't really want a suv type thing, a saloon would be grand.

    Any advice from motorhead boardsies? I specifically don't want a "boy racer" type of thing, the mortgage will be paid off in 9 years I'll look at that then :)
