Online food shopping with Dunnes

Does anyone know why Dunnes Stores doesn't do online food shopping and delivery like Supervalu and Tescos?

I just say a Tescos delivery van drive down the road. I hadn't seen one in a long time and it made me curious as to why Dunnes don't it too.

Did Supervalu and Tescos simply beat them to it and grab too large a share of the customers? Or is there simply not enough demand for a service like that?

It is at best marginally profitable if not loss making to do so due to the need for pickers, delivery infrastructure and a relatively high rate of returns/writeoffs due to unwanted substitutions. I would be certain they have evaluated it pretty carefully and will only do it if they feel its needed for growth rather than just because the others do it.
