Bit of a stupid question but is the susi grant just a payment for your college? Or can you use the money yourself for lunch/dart fares etc?

If you qualify, SUSI will pay your fee directly to the college. If you qualify for maintenance on top of that, it’s paid directly to you and you can use it for whatever you need.
