I've suddenly realised that my wardrobe is basicallly full of jeans and jumpers.
I have a uniform for work so I don't need work clothes Yea I feel like i need a grown up wardrobe.
So fashion and appearance people of boards, where do I start...

I'd say magazines, Pinterest and Instagram would be good places to start - build up a collection of photos of 'looks' you like, then try to find the pieces you need to add to your current wardrobe to make those happen.
Cos and TK Maxx can be relied on for good quality basics that are a bit quirky.
If there's a particular celebrity or Insta person or someone whose style you particularly admire, why not mention it in this thread and people might be able to advise you more specifically.

You are half way there, jumpers are in. It depends what you like but you can get pleated or relaxed bellow the knee skirt (almost maxi) and pair it with chunky jumper. It can be worn with runners, if it works for you, it doesn't for me, or boots (knee high or ankle). Or you can buy a dress you like and wear it as dress or skirt under jumper.

Don't go on mad shopping spree, think what you actually like to wear, what in your wardrobe will work with new clothes. I'd concentrate on bottoms first. A same jumper can look very smart with smart trousers or skirt and relaxed with jeans. Ad something with animal print, I would avoid trousers as they can look very EastEnders.

Theres nothing wrong with jeans and jumpers, they can be easily dressed up with heeled boots, statement jewelry and a nice coat or jacket.
