Unfortunately it does. Not sure how Netflix decides upon its Related To titles. Its suggestions vary wildly!

Yes. While Netflix has a huge library of movies and tv shows, it doesnt have everything. So it will show you associated movies by actor/genres etc

    New to Netflix here too.
This stupid search thing is for me the single most frustrating thing about it. I know that 'Batteries not included' and 'The Shining' are on it (well, according to websites suggesting they are in 'Top 50 on Netflix' or whatever), but it will not let me find either in a search, just 'related to' results.
    Is it me or Netflix?

So Netflix has different content depending on what country your are in, so you need to double check that it's also available in Ireland.
It would appear that neither of the 2 movies you mentioned are available in Ireland.

Netflix doesn't come back with a 'movie not found/movie not available in your region' message when it's not available - but instead will return movies similar to it. I guess so that you don't get used to seeing - 'not found' messages which may have a negative effect on your perception of Netflix.
Either way - if you don't find the movie your looking for when searching, and only see related titles - then you can probably assume it's not available in the Irish region.

Thanks for that. Without a 'not found' style message, I thought I was getting titles wrong.
Is there anyway I can reset what it thinks are my favourites? We had a visitor who looked at all sorts of 'True Romance' style crap and now it keeps suggesting them for me (Scarlet).

I think I did it before when I had nephews over and my history suddenly became full of children's stuff as they were on my profile. You can delete watched items from your history, which should alter the suggested similar items algorithm.

Is there any way of browsing through Netflix without it auto-playing everything I pause on for more than about three seconds?

It drives me absolutely nuts and I wind up just shutting down because of it. I presume there's a setting somewhere, but damned if I can find it.....

I don't think there is a way to turn it off. Crazy annoying. I just mute the TV till I find something, still annoying but slightly less
