    As an aside, it'd be nice if the photographer thread allowed replies. A list of websites tells you nothing. It'd be nice if users could say why they recommend a particular photographer and so on, just like the band thread. The list in the first post could still be kept up to date.

    That’s a fair point, and the thread was created before I was a mod here, it Toots has written:
    Basically the old thread was getting quite cluttered up with chat, meaning that users had to do a bit of digging to find actual photographers details. There were also quite a few 'one post wonders' posting recommendations, which made it difficult to sort genuine referrals from 'shills'.

    I’d be up for opening the thread, but it would have to be monitored very carefully with all “chat” deleted. Toots and I can chat about it, if there’s interest in such a thread.
