Does anyone know any sites or shops that do good deals on 3 piece balls for competition play. I use lake balls I buy in bulk for practice rounds and general play but looking for a decent 3 piece ball for the weekly competition use if there is any recommendations on good deals or brands

    Thanks in advance

seed golf balls might be worth a look, have used them myself and can't complain but i'm off a hihg handicap so might not be the best judge

Chromesofts are a little cheaper than ProV.

Taylormade Project A are very good aswell.

You won’t see nearly as much benefit heading into the winter with the softer greens unless you play predominately links.

Thanks for that. Been using range balls for the last few comps I bought in bulk as I ran out of Pro V1's and there is a notable difference. I will give the Chromesoft a try keeping a stock of Pro V1s is not sustainable ha ha

You noticed a difference between range balls and Pro V1s?

    Well done.

Could be worth taking a look at the Vice Golf range. They do a sampler pack which gives 2 of each of the balls in their range that won't set you back too much & will give you a good idea of what they're like

Bridgestone E6 soft are an excellent ball and definitely cheaper than the chromesoft which are now up in the Pro V1 price bracket.

Guess it depends a bit on swing speed and so on. I dont generate huge spin around the green but want feel and have an average SS in around 95 with the driver, dont get benefit from ProV1 so happy to go with the cheaper ball as more suited to my game anyway

I bought seed balls, normally play prov1. Got to say I'm very impressed for €25 a dozen + 5 postage you'll never buy a pro v again. Subscribing is an option a lot of people think its obligatory its not.
