Indesit dryer issue

    As above, banging noise when on, sounds like a shoe flying around in the drum...

    Best guess is bearing on drum shaft gone???
    DIY or cheaper to just buy new?

    Any help welcome.

    remove the back half circular cover and you will see whats wrong, if you are lucky replacing the brass teardrop type bushing may sort it
