    Howdy
According to Sky, I can get their service in my apartment complex. The management company disagrees. I've just moved in so it's all a bit up in the air.

How would I know if the apartment was already wired up for Sky? I know it is for UPC as their box for the cables is on the wall.

In the utility room there's a white box fixed to the wall saying "NTL/Sky Replace Box if Removed".

If you can see a dish you can follow the wires and see if and where they are coming into your apartment, if you can't see a dish you know it's not.

Easy enough in a small complex or a house but my block is 4 stories and I can't see where the dish would be. Assuming on the roof rather than side of building?

That was a bit of a cheeky response, sorry, I was tired. What I meant was if it's not on the exterior walls of your apartment it's probably not there. It could be on the roof but some buildings may not allow that, and yours sounds like one of those.
