Ipod music not playing in car

    I have an ipod touch and seems to have stopped playing music when I connect to usb connection in car instead of listening to a cd or to radio. Could it be the usb connector or the software is the problem?

    Are you using a standard usb lead? Have you connected to a pic to verify lead and iPod are connecting? Have you connected a USB key with music on it to verify socket/radio is working

    What car is it?

    I'm using the official apple mac usb connecting lead. No problem charging it. I've not tried it with the laptop though to see if its syncing. Had a similar issue with the last ipod as well but it stopped updates and stopped working completely. Ipod touch is fine its not that old.

    Ipod touch has updated software no problem on it only other issue a song wiped off it recently but is available on my phone not on ipod touch all other songs are through sharing on the icloud. They have restricted some songs on apple store what can and cannot be downloaded have to download a whole album for some vast majority are fine can download individually but think apple are trying to encourage people to do the subscription thing rather than download one song individually which I prefer. Itunes store great for downloading movies either buy or rent. Songs on laptop as well whether that might be causing issues.
