At present my landline supply is from the road to the house by overhead wires and a pole. I want to get rid of the pole and bring the wires in a ducting underground. I have all the spec with regard the ducting etc. Would anyone have an email address for EIR so that I can contact them to apply for the change. I have tried phoning them but all I seem to be getting is the runaround. Anyone that I have spoken to says it is not their section. Thanks in advance

Do you really need a landline though. Got rid of it years ago and never missed it. The idea that we needed wires to be connected a few years ago seems mad now.

You still do. If you want a proper futureproof broadband service you'll need some sort of cable, preferably fibre

The landline is required. I think that I have it sorted. Met an Eir van and spoke with the driver. Very helpful fellow and he pointed me in the right direction, even gave me a contact number. Thanks for your replies.
