    Hey

Do you ever feel like you're life is going nowhere no matter how hard you try to change things?

This is how my life has been for the last few years, while everyone else is moving forward.

Single, deadend job, live at home.

I've tried being proactive and joining dating sites, seriously putting myself out there and all I get is abuse of guys or rumours spread.

I've constantly being trying to get a new job, its not working out for me.

I've joined clubs, volunteered, did courses, go to the gym etc..

I'd normally be happy & positives but I feel so down and depressed its hard to be motivated.

I just want a chance, a break. i know I could have it worse and god I feel awful for complaining!

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Sorry you feel that way OP. I think there are a lot of people that feel the same way.

The idea that a relationship will make you happy is a bit of a misnomer. I know it's cliche but once you start feeling happy within yourself these things fall into place.

Take one item at a time and work on it. Like getting a new job, research what you want to do and how to go about the application and interview, really breakdown the job spec and taylor your skills and interview responses to it. We spend so much time in work and it funds our ability to have choices. I belive if your happy in work other things will get better.

Don't forget most people have the same thoughts and doubts as you do. They just hid it.

Try to focus on the positives. Sure you could be dead tomorrow

    Quality oxymoron?

As for advice, maybe if you think your job is 'deadend' you could try getting another one? Apparently the job market is very bouyant at present, you might be able to find a new one relatively easily? Might be the step you need to change things? Meet new people.
