Anyone know how long it takes to make a Customs declaration at Dublin airport when departing?
The info I got from the revenue site was to use a courtesy phone at arrivals to contact the customs office. I presume I need to do it before checking in any bags but I'd appreciate any advice on how long I need to allow for that on a Sunday morning.
Give yourself plenty of time, the one time I had to do it was to get a carnet stamped.
First it was hard to find the phone as there was construction (gone now), then there was no answer on the phone for about 30/40 mins, then the woman who eventually came out had never seen a carnet before, so we had to spend a while going through it to make sure it was all stamped correctly.
Was lucky to make the flight in the end, but you may have better luck.
