I don’t like it. Pure base model with alloys added, VRS badge on the boot, dark tinted windows and wind deflectors suggest it fell into the wrong hands at some stage,
Also it’s only the 86bhp version of the 1.2

Still same engine, but a spec up, better colour and lower mileage and from a Subaru main dealer

4 year old car with very high mileage.
    Walk away.
Probably a reps or a taxi.

I’m gonna say it was a rental car for 2 years. If you look at the regs before and after it, there’s a load of 1.2 active Octavia’s registered together.
    141D5665, 5666, 5667, 5669, 5670 are all 1.2 86PS Active (5668 5671 and 5672 5673 are Skoda Citigo, also in Active spec -pure rental car)

They have a road now :)

Seriously though, it’d be worth the 3-4 hours to get a better car?

When you say it fell into the wrong hands do you mean it was a boy racer type

Yes I suspected it might have been ex rental.

I prefer a D reg than a KY or country reg vehicle

    Some sort of undesirable!

Aside from that, it’s got no leather wheel, no rear elec windows, no Bluetooth, don’t think it has aircon, the mirrors and door handles aren’t painted, it has the more basic radio and no armrest....

The ambition model in Kerry has all that stuff.

Fair enough dubs are funny about regs, but you’re literally choosing a 2 owner base model ex rental in white with dubious looking modifications over a 1 owner higher spec car with lower mileage in a better colour from a main dealer because of the letter on the reg.

I brought my current car in Kerry and I was in Dublin thanks to a link on boards.
    I've since moved to Kerry;)

Shouldn’t judge a book by its cover but my gut instinct is to stay clear. I’m all for a wolf in sheeps clothing but the other way round doesn’t work for me.

That white Octavia doesn't even have a front armrest ffs.

Its literally just letters on a piece of plastic on the front of the car

Oh yeah, it’s pure basic spec, but it’s newer for not much more money.

    No alloys though

But yet you were prepared to buy one that had all in the interior features of a Cave ????

edit; sorry just had a look at your original choice. Please don't say it's the Skanger 18" alloys that pushed you down that road.....

The alloy wheels on the white Octavia are cheap aftermarket replica rims. They would certainly not be a deal clincher for me.

Are you sure. The have the Skoda badge on them. I actually thought they were Audi alloys when I seen the picture. I have seen people do that as well as another person that put Merc alloys on a Passat:eek: .

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

You can buy aftermarket centre caps for most brands on the likes of ebay.
