Matching skirting with laminate floor

Hi folks,

In process of buying and fitting new laminate flooring -light oak - along with new skirting.

Was in right price tiles. They gave me a decent quote for the floor and skirting but have recommended skirting the same colour as the floor.

Was originally thinking of a white skirting but now wondering what would look better.

Anyone any thoughts on this. Have you gone with matching skirting.? Does it look well ?

White skirting looks better IMO but I guess it’s subjective.

In my opinion, matching color skirting is a good choice. This can create a seamless, unified look that makes the space appear larger and more cohesive. The approach aligns well with modern floor skirting trends. My only concern is that it could lack the visual interest and definition that contrasting skirting provides.

I agree, I really dislike wood coloured skirting.
