    Hi All,

Hope you'll be able to help me out with some opinions on the Churchview estate in Claregalway. My partner and I are looking to buy and we're looking at potential estates to live in. We're not from Claregalway so it can be hard to see the problems from the outside. I've heard that there's issues with Cuirt Na Habhainn since the council and Tuath bought up some of the houses, has this spilled over into Churchview? Anything else we should know about the estate/area before committing to a house there?

Would appreciate any and all input!

I owned a house and lived in there many years ago when it was a fairly fresh estate.

I drove into it recently for the first time in a long time and I thought it had gotten pretty shabby looking... and more worryingly, one of the detached houses at the back was all boarded up. Not a good sign or a pretty sight. I’d be concerned if I was living anywhere near that tbh. They’re also building a large nursing home (?) out behind it so there’s a lot of construction and all that entails there at the moment.

The larger houses at the front facing the road still look very well though.

The other important consideration with Claregalway is traffic. There’s heavy traffic and tailbacks going past the entrance to that estate every day...
