Quick question, where's a good place to buy a cheap, pay-as-you-go smartphone in somewhere in the city centre?

Live abroad (Germany) and lost mine, doesn't look like it's coming back, so needs to not be tied to a provider and obviously legal/non-stolen (in case the obvious needs to be stated )

What's your definition of cheap?

I bought the 2017 version of this phone as pay as you go. It has been perfect so far:

I'll probably stick to Huawei going forward. Seems to be the best balance between quality vs cost.

Any Carphone warehouses would get you sorted.
