Declaring working holiday income

    Advice or comment would be greatly appreciated! I've worked myself into a fuss (possibly about very little), but here goes:

    - I worked in the UK for the last few years, but left last July to go travelling;
    - I worked in New Zealand from September 2017 until June this year, during which I received a sum of tax back as I worked part - year
    - I've just returned to the UK where I've received another tax refund cheque from HMRC due to working part year in the UK last year.

    Where's the problem you ask? Well I guess, strictly, I should have declared my part year earnings in both countries?

    I'm hoping to transfer my NZ savings (about $40,000) home with me over the next few months, possibly with a view to putting towards a deposit on a house shortly.

    The question is, should I declare everything to the UK revenue and pay any extra tax due?(there is a double taxation agreement, but the refunds would be a problem); or
    Should I wait it out, plead ignorance and see what happens?

    How sharp are revenue (HMRC) likely to be with such a nominal issue?
