Looking at his other ads, he’s clearly an enthusiast, I wouldn’t be too hard on him, he probably wants it to go to a good home and not to someone who just wants to flip it.

    Edit, he wants £19k

It’s not a dog he is selling, to go to a good home lol.

People get attached to their cars. We own classics for different reason than we own 'modern' daily drivers.

No problem with someone not wanting one of their old cars to end racing around a field in the midlands. Unlikely at 19k though!

Make no mistake this is a rare beast. And although it's strong money for a restoration project, it is a Slough built Familiale, and it's also the very rare "first series Nose". The French 1st series with the seperate headlights and the unique first series front bumper ran from 1956 until 1961, when it was replaced with the 2nd nose bumper which ran until 1967, when it was replaced with the more common Cowled Double headlight nose. Weirdly enough this is a 1964 according to the seller, so it should have the 2nd nose, but maybe the Slough built cars ran longer... The Slough cars also have a Wood dash, instead of the all black plastic/metal dash in the French version.

I'm not up to speed with actual prices but this is not a run off the mill ID/DS

My son knows the seller. Apparently he is a total, total Citroen head and has a huge collection of pretty cool stuff
