Looking to buy a second hand car as our second car. Budget is about 12k. Car will be for commuting about two hours a day mainly in traffic in Dublin. We have two small kids so need space for their baby seats.
I really like the look of the Volvo s40 or s60 - would probably be a 2013 model or so. I'm not sure though as they're all diesels and I think a petrol car would be better for lots of city driving. Am I right?
Ideally I'd love an automatic petrol car. I'm easy as to model but husband would love something interesting and/or high spec (he doesn't like skodas as thinks they're boring looking!) Any advice or steer anyone could give would be great as I'm getting lost on carzone.ie!

You can't beat a high spec prius for your needs to be honest.

If you have means to charge at home and range of 110-120 km of single charge is enough, a Nissan Leaf tekna may be something to think about considering it is going to be your second car.
