Issue relocating Horizon box

Probably something stupid I'm doing, but I'd appreciate some pointers.

We are moving the TV from one side the room (where the cable comes into the house) to the other. We also got some building work done, so I took the opportunity to bury the a coax cable behind skirts and under floors. t's no more than 2.5 metres of run.

But I can't see to get it to work. I've an F-type plate on either end of the coax cable. So it goes VM Wall Plate > Cable > F-type plate > Buried Cable > F-type Plate > Horizon box.

I've confirmed the connection into the house is fine, so clearly I've messed up somewhere. The Horizon box just shows "Offline" on the panel. Occasionally it will manage to get the correct time from somewhere, but can't get any EPG info or channels.

I have a multimeter, is there any simple checks I can do with this to test what level of signal (if any) is coming down my coax?

I'd really rather not have to run a new cable because I can't easily hide it, but if I have to, I suppose...

What type of F faceplates are you using?

Could they be a filtered type that blocks anything below about 950 MHz?

    Type, I haven't a clue :D

Just plates I bought in homebase. This at one end: https://www.homebase.co.uk/arlec-diplex-tv-sat-outlet_p394832

    This at the other: https://www.homebase.co.uk/arlec-f-type-module_p394844

I assumed all plates were equal. Would I be better off switching them for PAL outlets?

Diplexed unit so I'd assume the sat side is filtered, test it with the TV side of the faceplates.

    Genius!

I owe you a pint for that if we ever cross paths :D

I had a single f-type plate which was cheap AF and broke on me, so the only other plate I could find which wasn't cheap rubbish, was that diplexed unit.

TV and internet firing away, delighted I don't have to run cables or cut into my freshly painted walls :D

    Thanks again
