Prefix with IKC

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if i have to apply for a prefix before i register my pups or can they just be registered with any name I give them?

I have a litter i need to register so I'm just wondering if I can just send all the documentation off at once or do i have to wait until i get the approval on the prefix first before naming? I'm not a breeder, just had this litter and probably wont have any more in the near future

If you have a litter, you are a breeder. You can pick out names without a prefix but it looks very unprofessional & would put Reputable buyers off. You are much better off waiting for prefix approval.

It should not take too long especially if you fire off an email saying you are waiting to register puppies.
