The new 3 series is being unveiled tomorrow at the Paris Motor Show, it will be live streamed from 8am Irish time at the link below:

It's been well leaked at this stage already and I've got to admit it I like it already

The front of it looks pretty class I think and the side view has a bit of a new Merc design to it as well, I'm not that keen on the rear of it though. The interior looks better than the current F30 3 series but it's not to the standard of the new 5 series.

There is going to be an M340i X-drive which is what I would love to go for in 1-2 years time when the main depreciation has gone from it. I would estimate it will be sub 4.5s for 0-100kmph as its supposed to be housing 360bph in the 3L petrol engine.

Next car purchase is going to be a tough decision...

At first glance I’d find it hard to tell apart from the current f30. Glad the dash is all digital now, they’ve been behind the likes of Audi and merc in that regard. Not a fan of the interior, especially around the radio.

Yeah, the interior is very minimalist really. Reminds me a little of how the A3 and A4 are, much rather the 5 series in that area. But the photos I've seen of the digital dash looks quite good with the music, maps and all the info there. In saying that I don't like looking at the dash anymore and rarely ever do since I have had the heads-up displays.

I think the front of her is a lot different to the current F30, it's much meaner looking and has a bit of an M-series feel to it I think.

More Interior /exterior photos here. I’m sure when I see the unveiling it’ll look a lot better

Interior is a huge improvement over the current one anyway. Kind of going back to the E90 days around minimal centre console look. Exterior is evolutionary unsurprisingly though.

Not much excitement about this this is there? Then it is not very exciting, just standard evolution for the Germans.

Glad to see BMW are sticking with some buttons as opposed to the usability/fingerprint nightmare that Audi is going down with exclusive use of screens. As an old school BMW fan I'm sad to see the trademark twin analogue dials binned for digital. The old set up was a paragon of clarity but such is 'progress'.

The entry level models are set to have analogue dials as standard, with optional digital displays.

Im still watching carwow but I find autogeful much better these days if you really want to delve into the particular car.

Good walk around video of it here... I like it. The outside is obviously very evolutionary but it does give the car a needed nip and tuck. It deffo reminds me of the Lexus IS and Alfa Giula, particularly from the rear 3/4 profile...

The interior looks to be a big leap over the F series.

Bit of c class about it. Manual handbrake finally gone also?

Looks good, evolutionary indeed but if it ain't broke don't fix it.

It’s the little things that do it for me. Self leveling Bmw wheel caps so they’re always facing the right way up.

The tablet half integrated just looks odd the old one just looked completely wrong stick it back in the dash like the F10 and be done with it, what's with the giant chrome grilles complete overkill and look totally out of place.
The old 3 series with the m-performance kit looked more aggressive than this Msport.
The Merc looks better and they still haven't caught up with the Audi interior.
    Not sold on first impressions.

A bit "meh", but that's BMW design. The general "curved downwards" line does indeed have a whiff of the latest Mercedes models, which I don't think suits much - doesn't look "sporty" but rather "old man". Front grille way overdone. Interior looks better than the previous models, which in all fairness wasn't difficult to achieve. Hate the digital gauges - needless complication, it's not a fecking airliner needing a "glass cockpit" guys. It will sell like hotcakes, obviously.

The dynamics will most likely be top notch, throwing down the gauntlet to try and retake the "best handling in class" throne from the Giulia - it can make for an interesting back-and-forth rivalry reminiscent of the '80s and '90s, if Alfa Romeo decided to play it right; Good for enthusiasts, at least until they both decide to go eco-fart-smelling-kale-eating electric :D
Will be curious to see the two doors version (which I guess will be called a "4-Series").

For the life of me, I can't understand why the German brands insist on not integrating the screens to the dash and leaving that "tablet stuck on top" look to them, it looks awful and half arsed. A few months ago I had a brand new A5 rental for a few days on a trip and anybody getting in the car tried to yank it off the console thinking it was my own tablet I had just propped there :D
