What to replace Sky or any other TV package with?

    Evening,

    I'm toying with the idea of getting rid of our Sky TV package. We have a Samsung UE40KU6000 40 Inch UHD HDR Smart LED TV which we watch Netflix through as our broadband is more than enough for streaming.

    Any suggestions as to what to replace Sky with? Our viewing habits have changed and there are only one or two TV programs that we bothered to keep up with through our Sky package.

    Would like to have Irish and UK channels also just to have them.

    Can we download additional apps to the TV to use instead of sky or do something with the existing equipment we have to have some minimal cahnnles without paying a subscription.
