Electrical fault?

Bit of a strange one. I woke up at 6 this morning after hearing a loud noise in the driveway where my car was parked. Looked out the window and the lights internally and also the headlights were on and the car was unlocked(mirrors were out). Went out and checked everything and there was no forced entry or anything taken or signs of anyone being there. After Initially thinking it was an attempted break in and that I might have scared them away, I’m now wondering if it could be an electrical fault? I’m at a loss. It’s a 2011 focus(keyless). Wouldn’t of thought it would be a massively attractive target. Has anyone ever experienced anything similar or have any clues?

Did you figure out what the noise was?
Was it raining (could there have been some sort of short circuit)?
I suppose you tried locking and unlocking car a few times and nothing seems wrong now?

All good since. Locks & unlocks fine. Drives as normal. There’s had been a small amount of rain overnight but it was dry at the time.
