Shrinking a t-shirt?

Hey,

Recently picked up a t-shirt while I was in the states and made the mistake of not trying it on :rolleyes:. It's oversized fit and I'm usually a large in t-shirts so I bought a medium thinking it would fit fine since it was oversized. However, it fits more like an XL then a L. Is there anyway to shrink it down a size? It's more the length of it than the width that's too big. If I could shrink it down a size it'd be perfect I reckon.

American sizing tends to be bigger than European. There is not a lot of chance you can shrink it to fit. It may shorten but it will go wider, if it is decent quality it will not shrink at all. You could try shortening it, but taking up a new hem on a teeshirt is difficult to get it to look natural, chances are it will 'frill'. Give it to someone a bit bigger than you for Christmas!

You could chance either putting it on a high wash or else putting it in the dryer for a while. Either might work, but I wouldn't do both together.
