Tracked 48 returns

I'm just in the process of returning an item to the UK.

Ebay have sent a link to print a free return label, Tracked 48, to send the item back to the seller.

This entails posting from Royal Mail.

    Any way around this?

They also stated that I can send it back via my own method (An Post) but for the size of the parcel AP will probably charge close to 30 euro tracked. The same parcel would have cost about a third of the price only a few years ago iirc. Anyway, that's neither here nor there.

I initially had the item delivered to Parcel Motel so it was effectively a UK based transaction.

My admission that I'm in the ROI may void my refund but I'm unsure about this.

Am I snookered here and will have to post back through An Post, as much as I'd like to avoid this?

Thanks for that. I've checked that site. It compares courier prices.

I went with the PM to Royal Mail option. The PM support assured me it would be fine once I had the RM label on it. We'll see how it goes.
