CPC - recognition in the EU

We all know driving licence issued in any EU state is valid all over EU, and exchanangable for other EU licences.

How does that work with CPC. My assumption is that it's the same, being recognised all over EU, and exchangable within EU.

But what's the story with fact that most EU countries require 35 hours training every 5 years, while Ireland requires 7 hours a year? I know total amount of hours of training is the same (i.e. 7 hours a year for 5 years is exactly 35 hours).

    So some case scenarios.

    1. Helmut has a valid CPC issued in Germany. He just finished 35 hours training there and got issued his code 95 for next 5 years. John moves from Germany to Ireland. Can he drive for 5 years considering his CPC is valid for 5 years according to German law, or does he need to complete one CPC module every year in Ireland to keep his CPC?

    2. John had CPC from Ireland, and just finished 5 year cycle here doing one day training every year, so got issued with CPC card with code 95 for next 5 years. He moves to Italy. Does he need to still complete one day training in Ireland every year considering he now lives in Italy, or can he assume his CPC card valid for 5 years is good enough for Italy and he doesn't need to do one module every year, but instead just 5 day (35 hours) at the end of 5 year cycle in Italy?

    3. Maciek from Poland passed his C licence test in Poland 4 years ago. He got his initial CPC qualification there, and got his code 95 valid for 5 years. He was supposed to finish 35 hours training (one week) by the end of 5 year cycle (which is next year) but just moved to Ireland. Can he drive legally with his Polish CPC. What should he do by the end of next year? Finish 5 modules here in Ireland, or come back to Poland to finish 5 days training in one go there?

What do you think are the answers?
