Warning Dash light

    Hi,

Hope I'm posting in the right forum.

04 astra. About 130k mileage. Recently fully serviced and NCT'd.

The warning light of a car with a spanner has just popped up. Anyone any experience with this ? I don't have the astra manual.

A google search throws up anything from a general "get the car serviced" to a "if you drive the car for another minute its gonna blow up".

Garage and diagnostics I suppose ?

    Thanks for any advice.

Spanner is the reminder to get the car serviced, could be that it's due a service or could be last place that serviced didn't reset it. They don't diagnose any issues, they are simply useage and date based to remind you when it's due from last time it was reset.

As above, if you have had the car serviced recently simply clear the light your self its very easy takes about 30sec, plenty of walkthroughs on youtube

    Hi,

UPDATE: Just for anyone who might have the same problem.

Found the car was badly in need of oil. I know, I know.... I'm normally on top of it.

Lashed in a good bit. Took a day or two but the car/spanner light is gone now.

Unrelated to the spanner light but ok..
Maybe the car just decided to give up begging for a service!!! 😂
