So I recently changed the hard drive on my laptop from HDD to SSD. Everything is working fine with the exception of the speakers.

The battery on laptop is ****ed so i always get an error message when i turn on my computer, with a corresponding beep noise. This noise is still happening. So I know they're not broken.

Attached are a few images that hopefully may help.

    TIA

What laptop is it? You probably just need the correct drivers for audio. Go to the manufacturers website and download the audio drivers for your model laptop.

That Avnex virtual driver is for some application you have installed... perhaps some home audio device (all I could find on google). But essentially you should see other audio devices in the settings you've shown us.

I bet if you were to open 'device manager' you would see some unknown devices in there.

As I guessed, you are missing your audio driver:

    https://www.dell.com/support/home/ie/en/iedhs1/product-support/product/studio-1558/drivers

Select 'Audio' from the category section and install:

    IDT 92HD73C1 Audio Driver

    And see if that works.

Have a look here, Dell have a utility that can help you establish exactly which drivers you need

    Go to www.dell.ie/support.
Enter the Service Tag of your machine and you will be given the support page for your specific machine.
Click on Drivers & Downloads on the left and select Detect once the page loads.

You will be asked if it's ok to install Support Assist, click ok.
This will then scan your machine and report what drivers and/or BIOS updates are available for your computer.
Let it look after the installs for you and you should be good to go. If there is a BIOS update available you will be told it has to be done manually. Just follow the instructions.

Also, while your in device manager, right click on that Avnex virtual driver and uninstall it. Delete the drivers too if it asks, then reboot..

Try to install audio drivers again. if it is not working then contact to IT, engineer. He will easily detect what's the issue. Because sometime we can't detect the issue.
