    So heres a question.
Rolex are a main sponsor at the Ryder Cup, along with lots of other major sports competitions... pretty sure they do Wimbledon as well..
Almost every tee box has a large Rolex clock displayed; so do you reckon this clock is quartz :-) , or something else, more in keeping with the brand integrity?
    Anyone know?

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

I think I read somewhere that they are quartz clocks updated to the atomic clock time by radio signal. Surely you didn't think they were automatics? Some giants pick them up after dark and wear them on their wrist all night to keep them ticking over during the day? :pac:

    Don't be silly.

They use an enormous watch winder!

Does the rolex one tick or sweep? I've an old seiko wall clock (quartz) and it sweeps seamlessly! :)
