Just wondering if anyone knows an honest way to stream/rent recently released movies? We have small kids & used to love going to the cinema but rarely get the chance recently.

We don't want to buy the dvd of every movie just to watch it. We used to use xtra vision Express but our local was taken away recently and we would have to drive to the next county to rent a dvd at the moment! Netflix is too slow. Unfortunately the constant piracy warnings before every movie rental as a child seem to have been effective and we feel guilty streaming, plus the quality is crap.

We are feeling pretty out of touch at the moment, any help is appreciated!

The Google Play Store allows you to rent new films. For example, 'Solo: A Stars Story' and 'Avengers: Infinity Wars' are €3.99 to rent. You can download them for offline viewing on any Android device or ChromeOS or stream to a PC/tablet.

A Chromecast or equivalent is great for getting Google Play rentals on your tv without fuss too :)

You could also get an Apple TV and use the iTunes Store to rent or buy. Apple is launching their own streaming service soon as well, which be carrying entirely family friendly content.

+1 for Google and a Chromecast

Also, your tv provider may carry stuff. We're with Virgin Media and their on demand library is pretty decent. But we generally use the play store

You can do the same on youtube.

I don't think you can download them, but you do get access to them for 48 hours (I think).

If you have Sky, their box office offers rentals too without the need for a movie channel subscription.

You can also use your credit to pay for it if you're on Pay as you go with Three
