What is this sound?

    Hi all,

    Whenever I open the driver's door and before starting the car, I hear the following sound coming from under the bonnet https://vocaroo.com/i/s1bF9f4d6b4E

    My car is a Peugeot 3008.

    Does anyone know what is this sound? My guess is that it's coming from the electronic parking brake but not sure.

    It's a diesel yeah?
    Modern diesels automatically do several things, like activate their glow plugs when the operator unlocks the vehicle or opens the door to the car, thus simplifying the process and shortening the time the operator has to wait before the engine will start.
