Could it have been outstanding when the monthly statement was created but paid since?

One thing to consider here is the date that your card provider reports to the CCR might not be the same date that they generate a statement to send to you, leading to the reporting of the outstanding amount.

If the CCR have refused to amend the report then you'll have to go to your card provider next, and ask them to change it. If that fails, contact the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman - www.fspo.ie

I wouldn’t be too concerned as the report is only a snapshot in time. The most important part is that it’s being cleared every month and you have no black marks against it for missed / late payments.

what does your icb show? if you are worried what it shows to a prospective lender you could show them the ICB report. Also if you have the statements it disproves it.

No missed or late payments. ICB is all clear because the payments were never missed, only the central credit register report shows this amount as an outstanding balance, but paid on time. Still it shouldn't show as an outstanding balance, it was paid 6 days early.

The bank need to rectify this- just get into them and show them the report.

You can request to have a note put onto your account under the central credit register which must be provided to anyone who requests access to your account, so in this instance, they could put a note to say whatever the issue is, if you can prove it.

I asked the central credit register to correct it and showed them the statement. They refused. Appealed it, came back refused again.

Tried the bank said I need to phone customer service for credit cards. They told me on the phone that its not something they can access and only a specialist team can deal with it and they cant be contacted by phone. They told me to email them, which I did over 3 weeks ago. Still no response. I sent them another email the other day saying I will have no option but to report them to the data protection commissioner for refusing to rectify incorrect data reported about me and also the financial ombudsman. Awaiting a response.

The CCR don't accept amendments from individual, only from credit-providers.

It's the bank who have to amend it.

And quit with the emailing. Email is for quick questions and trivial stuff. Important stuff needs to go into a real letter that's addressed to a real person, printed on real paper, and posted.
