Vw/Audi accepting orders for new 2019 models yet?

In light of VAG's well publicised problems with WLTP certification for their 2019 models, VW and Audi were not accepting orders for 2019 cars up to very recently.

Is there any update on which models, if any, are now certified by VW and Audi or are they still bogged down in the ongoing debacle?

The only definite information I know of is that Audi are replacing their 1.4 TFSI petrol engine for the A4 with a 2.0 version with a similar 150 hp.

I contacted VW Ireland about model availability for 2019 but they merely told me to contact my local dealer. They were very tight-lipped about 2019 models and engine options.

Well if the result of this new system is larger engines replacing these tiny turbo jobs, I'm all for it. I mean the whole thing was heading in the wrong direction. I'm all for turbo when it's used to add power to an already acceptable engine in any given car. When you start using turbos to get to a barely acceptable level of power, it's all gone to pot.
The driveability of a 2.0 TFSI tuned down to 150 bhp should be far ahead of the 1.4Tfsi forcing out 150.

Went for a rip in the new A6 Quattro what a beast of a car the dealer said if I was to order now I would have it by Jan2019, Although they told me that there is not a 2 litre version yet.

There are post WLTP VW's due to arrive in to Ireland in the next couple of weeks, but they aren't showing up to the dealers.

I know on the Passat that VW are guaranteeing the retail price, but haven't released the Co2 emissions yet, so road tax costs may increase, but VW will take the hit on the VRT if that increases.

I've had an order in for a Tiguan since the start of July - had to be re-ordered due to the first one coming in wrong, and that finally got a production week (week 43) late last week, so it seems they are scheduling orders now. Not sure how much of this the dealers are aware of - due to the car turning up wrong VW Ireland were involved in this so I've been dealing with them and the dealer.

3.0 quattro must be silly money but no doubt lovely.

Are you sure? All demo models I've seen are 50 model quattro versions and I've been told the 40 doesn't go in to production until October.

No so sure, only went for a short spin so didn't get to push much, was a quattro okay and very lively, took it for granted it was a 2L
