I installed a satellite dish for a neighbour this evening. I put up the dish, and connected the meter to the LNB. NO SIGNAL. Tried a different LNB, same thing, no signal. Checked cable ,meter etc. etc. Put in an old sky LNB, tuned dish
everything fine. Put in the new LNB, no signal on meter but the receiver worked fine. New LNB was a VisibleWave VK4L, old LNB was an older VisibleWave. Both have the same LO.Any thoughts??

Just some guesses but did you try the meter in all four ports on the new LNB?

Another thing could be that the meter was not outputting enough current to power the LNB. Was the battery fully charged on the meter?

I tried all 4 ports. Same result. I thought of the charging issue. Meter was 2/3 charged First Strike FS1

I'd guess at it being the power issue. If you had a multimeter you could try measuring the current draw from each LNB while connected to the meter. As you have the dish up it is hardly worth your while taking the LNB down now!

Try the latest firmware in case it has become corrupt.
