    Hi all!

Hopefully, when the snow melts again, I will be putting up a mobile home on a rural spot of land.

It is between two houses, but in the middle of nowhere.

How much can it cost to hook up water and power?
I know I am asking for the length of a string, but just want a bit an indicative cost...

You won’t get a connection as the utility companies ask for proof of planning permission.

    Snow eh?

You won't get the answers here, as the forum cannot be posting about how to circumvent laws.

However, a chat with a similarly housed local would be the best way to answer your hypothetical question.

But without it, you cannot get connected.

So what, if someone asks how much a car costs, are you going to ask him to produce a drivers license before you will tell him/her?

If you can't answer, dont try.

I am trying to put a budget together for something that actually has planning in a roundabout way, but honestly, that does not concern you.

It’s like asking how much is my insurance, but I’ve no license.
Your round about way means, you don’t have planning. End of.

When you ring ESB Networks, they will ask for a copy of your planning (final grant) and a copy of the site map showing the location of the dwelling. Same goes for gas. You see, there are people on this forum that have done this before so instead of getting your knickers in a twist because the answers don’t suit you, relax and think about what you are actually trying to do.

Grand so. I will contact them.
I had hoped to start a conversation, and hear stories etc. but I guess this is not a place to do that.
