Should I replace Economics with Applied Maths (HL?)

I'm like economics a lot and I enjoy teaching it on my own...but idk I have this weird urge to do to Applied Maths. Last week I posted a thread asking if I should do AP Maths at OL as a 9th subject..but now I'm considering doing it at HL since it's a short course. I'm not a braniac at maths or physics but I do like both HL Maths and Physics and I just find maths to be so interesting...I'm just not sure. I want to do Engineering or Computer Science in College (or medicine but I have that covered with Chem).

And I know HL AP Maths will aid me. But I'm scared that if I do HL AP Maths and find it hard I'll be missing out on free H1/H2 with Econ...should I ditch Econ for HL AP Maths? My school is also starting after school AP Maths this week and I'm thinking about registering. I really want to give it a go. I'm doing HL Maths and Physics so I might as well give it a very strong go. No?

If you keep adding subjects you will be too thinly stretched to get H1 in anything.
    Calm down.

There's no such thing as a free H1/H2. You have to work for all your grades in LC. Also can you calm down on the constant new threads? There are 11 threads belonging to you on the first page of the LC forum. I can't see LC students continuing to visit here or get a chance to have their queries answered if you are dominating the forum by constantly posting new threads.

I'd worry more about the amount of stress you're putting yourself under, as represented by all those threads.

Assuming they're indicative of your state of mind, I would wager that you are far more likely to f**k up your LC through ending up stressed / burned out than because you haven't put in the work!

    Chill!!

Put a reasonable limit on the amount of time you have your nose in the books each evening. Do your homework well. If you're not snowed under with homework on a particular evening, do a half hour or an hour's revision. And then put away the books and FORGET about them and everything to do with LC. Consciously refuse to think about it. Watch tv, read, listen to music, play Fortnite or COD ... doesn't matter once it takes your mind off the LC.

And the basic things: eat (fairly) well, especially avoiding those crap energy drinks etc.; get some regular exercise; get enough sleep.

Take at least one full day away from the books at the weekend, and try to include something social, whether it's a game of 5-aside soccer / cinema / a wander around town window-shopping with your mates. Doesn't matter what really, just BAN all discussion of school / LC from the conversation (for all your sakes).

And honestly, if you find you can't back away a bit from it even if you make a genuine effort to follow the above advice, I'd ask for help NOW rather than letting it snowball. Your guidance counsellor might be a good person to have a quiet chat with initially.
