    Hi everyone does anyone know much about pet mice

    They make nice lively little pets. They are best kept in same sex groups as they will rapidly breed otherwise. To sex them have a look at diagrams that you can google. I would recommend an aquarium style tank for them as they can escape through fairly small gaps. They need a little house with shredded kitchen roll or toilet tissue. Avoid that fluffy stuff sold in petshops as it can get caught up in feet or ingested.
    Bedding can be aspen shavings or the pellets many petshops sell.

    Foodwise a decent quality hamster or mouse mix plus very small amounts of washed fruit & veg, small bits of animal protein like dog biscuits. Toys can be a wheel that is enclosed to avoid trapped tails and empty toilet roll tubes etc. Do not pick them.ul by the tail alone but rather support their body at the same time.

    Be aware that male mice have pungent smelling urine which is not the most pleasant. They have a short livespan even compared to hamsters often only up to 1.5 to 2 years.

    Hi thank u no I have 48 breed them I'm just wondering does anyone know much about there health I have a male mouse who fur is very fluffy and he is making a kind of chattering noise the whole time and seems to be breathing heavy

    What age is he? It does sound like a respiratory issue

    He's about a year old I have him a few months and last night I put a heater on in the room he was hopping and running around the cage still making the noise but running around
