    Hello,

I would like to buy a bottle of gin for a gift. I'm not a fan of gin and I know it's very popular lately. I wouldn't know what to get. I'm looking for white gin with no flavourings. Browsing online, there is so many gins. I don't know what to get. Any recommendations? It's for a lady friend. She's likes tonic water with her gin so I will probably get some tonic water too.

Try the beer and spirits forum.

Get her a bottle of Gunpowder Gin and Fever Tree Tonic.

Douglas do a nice clear one. It'd take paint off your paintbrush.

There's loads of fancy gins. Just buy a random top shelf one.

My favorites are hendricks and Bombay Sapphire. Drumshanbo is very popular too.

Don't forget to buy a glass as well, as she will need a receptacle for the gin (and tonic).

Cork dry gin was the only gin until it becomes the drink de jour.

    This is the correct answer.

It's over there. As a previous poster mentioned, Gunpowder takes the prize.

Get some alcohol down the hardware store. Mix equal parts of that with toilet water. Pop into a nice bottle and voila, homemade gin.

Gunpowder is lovely, but lot of the big ones are nice imo, tanqueray number 10, sipsmith and hendricks
