Eir Sport Mobile down, until further notice

    FAO - EIR customers attempting to access Eir Sport mobile app (red icon)

    Like many othere here when trying to log into the eir sport mobile app it says my username password is not recognised / account not eligible 

    despite the same uername / pw being accepted on the eir mobile app


    After spending hours on hold speaking to agent after agent and being transferred again and holding again for hours I was finally told by an Eir agent

    "EIR SPORT MOBILE (yes the red icon app) is down, has been down for the past few weeks and there is no indication when this service will be back available again. Could be weeks could be months.

    boards.ie reps do you have any information on this and when it will be back available? 

    I asked to be given access to eir sport online but I was told the whole EIR SPORTS SYSTEM is down.

    Hopefully this will save customers thousands of hours possible tens of thousands of hours of holding seeking information after dialing 1901.

    God meteor customer care were a god send compared  to dealing with EIR.

    Can Eir reps confirm or deny that this reduction in service will be reflected in a similar reduction in effected customers monthly bills.

    Eir customers signing up yesterday on 24 month contracts were being told they would have access to the Eir sport mobile app (red app)

    Despite the fact the service does not work, has not worked and there is no.timeframe given that it will be back up and running.

    When i raised this with an Eir agent I was told "people arent just signing up for access to Eir sport"

    Shocking attitude towards their customers.

    And still no response here from Eir reps, even to say they are looking into the matter

    The cooling off period for new customers should be extended immediately based on the fact the service they are signing up for is not available and that Eir employees are hiding this fact.

    You have been given wrong information Turner. Eir Sports Mobile (Red) works fine, as you can see from the picture I've taken below just now while responding to this thread. It is definitely not down.

    The issue that is actually happening is that multiple Eir accounts are not flagged as eligible for the Eir Sports Mobile app, or MyEir account is not automatically linking with Eir Sports Mobile account for multiple users. And it seems that Eir are not recognising this issue, that even their employees have no solution for the issue.

    It would be nice if the Eir reps here would comment on this and give an update. 

    After waiting for hours on hold on 1901 all i was told is that it is down for mobile and online versions, has been for 3 weeks and there is no date given for when it will be back up.

    We are aware that some customers had issues with this and was resolved on a case to case.

    Just so people are aware. I still have no access to the Eir sport APP. 

    EIR are refusing to grant me access to eir sport online in the interim.
