    Hi All,

I'm heading to Rome in a couple of weeks & will be doing a lot of walking. I want to bring as little as possible with me so I'm looking for a really comfortable pair of flats that can be worn both casually & dressed up a bit.
    Any suggestions would be welcome!

    Thanks!

Skechers do a version of Go Walks that look like boat shoes and they're really nice, my sister has a blue & white striped pair that she gets compliments on every single time she wears them. Those specific ones are maybe a bit summery but a) I'm sure they have other styles and B) it's Rome in early Autumn, the weather is probably still lovely over there.

You can’t go wrong with an Italian brand - Superga!

    Agree re superga.

You're in luck in that trainers are totally fashionable/acceptable these days.

Can I ask what age range you're in OP?

If younger you could go for the chunky trainer trend, or if not, a pair of slim converse work at any age IMO. I got a white leather pair earlier in the year and have worn them day and evening with dresses.

Alternatively you could invest in a nice pair of sandals, i got a pair about 2 years go in Schuh that were about €50 but for that money they were a much better quality shoe than your cheapo sandals from fashion brands. The sole is thicker and has a rubber base so better shock absorption, as well as soft leather that won't cut your feet. They're actually designed to do a bit of walking.

This is a similar pair from the same brand. https://www.schuh.co.uk/womens/blowfish-granola-b-tan-and-bronze-sandals/1744363360/

Just editing to say that the Schuh have the silver version on sale ;https://www.schuh.co.uk/womens/blowfish-granola-b-silver-sandals/1744367660/

Might even buy them myself, they're very good value at that price!
