How low are planes permitted to fly?

Plane flew incredibly low over farm at 12 today (N/Tipp). There was a name with large writing on the side. Is there any website I could use to check what it may have been doing? Occasionally, “hobby” planes fly over area but this was a lot bigger and lower. It returned 20 mins later but did not fly as low.

Minimum 500 ft above ground level unless landing or taking off.

C-GSGF was operating in that area today as "survey one". It has SURVEY wrote on the side of the aircraft.Usually households in the area get a leaflet in the post informing them that the aircraft will be in the area. it is very quite machine.

Thanks everyone! It was unbelievably low. 2 neighbors would have had planes over the years and we’d be used to them. This plane was very low.

They fly at 200ft (60m) over rural areas and 800ft (240m) over urban areas.

normally 1500ft above a populated town/city and thats without survey work.

I would suspect Ultimate, that its general GIS data collection survey flight, through LIDAR, low level photography etc.

I've seen it around North Tipp the last while alright. Does come down very low. Sight to see when you round a bend and this thing looks like it's coming down on top of you...
