Saorview remote accessing TV not Saorview box

    I can't change channels on my Saorview remote. The box is working OK but when I press any button on the Saorview remote the light on the TV starts flashing. So that means it is accessing the TV not the box. That sometimes happens on the Sky remote too but there is a "Sky" button and a "TV" button to fix it.
    There is no equivalent on the Saorview remote though.

    Digihome is the model. it's one of the first Saorview boxes (if not THE first) so it's really old. I googled it but it showed up stuff from remotes that look different. I lost the remote user manual.
    I can change the channels on the box fine but it's for my parents and they need the remote.
